Set to become the most capped player in the history of the Cronulla club when he runs out for game 329 later tonight, Sharks skipper Paul Gallen attracted plenty of attention at a pre-game media opportunity on Friday.
Media interest centred around his remarkable achievement but questions were also raised about the distinctive yellow branding on the sleeve of Gallen’s jersey, with the logo of the Sharks newest corporate partner Temporary Fence Hire (TFH) boldly announcing the Club’s latest corporate partner.
Gallen and the Sharks team will run out brandishing the logo of TFH Hire Services logo in 2019, beginning with their round three match with the Cowboys after the new Sleeve Sponsorship was signed off earlier this week.
Specialising in the supply of quality temporary hire products, including fencing, skip bins, portable toilets and hired to a wide range of Australian and international businesses, TFH might have originated in Queensland but as CEO Owen Thomas expressed, they were looking forward to supporting the Sharks and to leaving their mark in the Sutherland Shire.
“The TFH family has always appreciated the power of sport and the community and we couldn’t be happier to partner with the Sharks who we believe to be not only the most resilient, but the biggest brand in southern Sydney,” Thomas said.
“We look forward to seeing all Sharkies fans at the ground this year, watching from the TFH Family Hill and cheering the boys loud and proud!”
Already a supporter of the NRL through their involvement with the Titans and Sea Eagles, TFH saw an opportunity with the Sharks, contacted Commercial Manager Chris Highett and CEO Barry Russell, with a new association with the Sharks the end result.
“We have been so impressed with our dealings with TFH so far. Having dealt with Owen, Brett and Daniel I have found them to be amazing people and genuine down-to-earth Australians, who have once again demonstrated what can be achieved with a combination of commitment, hard-work, and determination – qualities we hope the Sharks will exhibit both on and off the field to repay the faith TFH have shown in our club,” Russell said
