Shaun Johnson has arrived in the Shire!
With 29 Tests for New Zealand and 162 NRL games for the Warriors already under his belt, the 28-year-old brings plenty of natural flair and a freakish set of skills to the Shark's backline in 2019.
In his first interview upon signing his contract, Johnson expressed his excitement about playing in the black, white and blue, with what he called a "tough side, that knows how to win"
As a teenager Johnson was something of a sports prodigy and represented New Zealand in both touch football and Australian rules football, but finally settled on rugby league when the Warriors came knocking.
He made his NRL debut in 2011, his international debut in 2012, but Johnson's biggest achievement on the international stage came in 2014, inspiring the Kiwis to a Four Nations victory.
His efforts earning him the Golden Boot Award as the best player in the world at seasons end.
A genuine matchwinner, Sharks fans are excited to see what the livewire Kiwi can do behind the Sharks experienced and gritty pack.
Sharks media invited Shaun into the studio and put him under the spotlight for this latest instalment in the 'under the surface' series, asking him a few fun questions as we get to know your 2019 Sharks NRL squad.
