It was a solid Sharks debut for Aaron Woods last Friday night, with the International front rower playing strongly in the win over the Warriors.
Woods got through 39 minutes, carrying the ball for close to 140 metres while making more than 20 tackles with no misses on the night.
As a part of a regular commitment Woods talks each Thursday morning to Laurie Daley and Terry Kennedy on Sky Sports Radio on the Big Sports Breakfast program (AM 1017), covering off on his own form and a range of issues affecting the game.
This week the hosts were generous in their praise of Woods' first up effort for the Sharks, before having some fun with the fact that he was a Bulldog last Tuesday morning until turning up at Southern Cross Group Stadium to train as a member of the Cronulla club later that night.
Kennedy and Daley also made light of Woods' lack of knowledge of the Sharks theme song, with the big prop quick to respond, saying if they keep winning games he will know all the words soon enough.
The plan Woods and coach Shane Flanagan have for the year going forward, the way the Sharks snuck home against the Warriors and State of Origin game three, were other topics discussed in the wide-ranging interview.
