Kiwi Coach David Kidwell today named his New Zealand World Cup squad, with departing Shark Gerard Beale included in the 24-man team.
A member of the Sharks premiership winning side in 2016 and again an integral member of the team in 2017, Beale has previously played 10 Tests Matches for New Zealand, with his most recent appearance being in the Four Nations tournament at the end of last year.
After three seasons at the Cronulla club, Beale will reportedly join the New Zealand Warriors in 2018.
He has been included in a squad, to be captained by Broncos prop Adam Blair, that features a mixture of youth and experience.
The New Zealanders will contest pool matches against Scotland, Tonga and Samoa.
