The action will be intense on the field, with fun times sure to be had behind the Henson Park picket fence as well, with the Jets to take on the New Zealand Warriors on Beer, Footy and Food Festival day.
Stalls showcasing a variety of food options and craft beers locally brewed will ensure a large and likely vocal crowd for a game which shapes as perhaps the last throw of the dice for the Newtown side in terms of pushing into the top eight and playing in the Intrust Super Premiership finals series.
Already five points outside the top eight, anything less than a win will make it close to impossible to qualify, however against a strong Warriors team sitting second on the competition table, the task will be a difficult one.
Adding to the Jets chances they will have the services of newcomer Adam Clydesdale, a recent Sharks signing from the Canberra Raiders and a player with a wealth of NRL experience.
The Jets have named their team to play the Warriors, with kick-off scheduled for 3.00pm.
