Our Club is pleased to announce that Dino Mezzatesta was last night appointed Chairman at the Club’s regular monthly board meeting.
Dino has served as a Director on our Board for the past four years and is currently the COO of Hotels, Food, Beverage and Retail at the Star Sydney, having previously been the CEO Asia Pacific at Accor Plus. He brings with him a wealth of business, strategy and leadership experience.
In accepting his appointment, Dino has expressed his excitement at the opportunities that lay ahead for our Club.
“I am looking forward to continuing the great work of our Club. We have an incredibly capable and dedicated Board and Management Team and I am honoured to have been chosen to lead our Club into the next chapter,” he said.
Lyall Gorman, Sharks Group CEO echoed Dino’s comments; “While our Club has achieved many great things over the past few years there is still so much to do as we continue the journey to be the number one Club in the NRL. A key part of this journey is stability and unity across all levels of our business. The swift action of the Board in appointing Dino as Chairman last night is a very important part of this process.”
