Pleased to have pushed the competition leaders but at the same time disappointed in having to ultimately settle for a 30-all draw, the NYC Sharks again face a stern challenge when they host the Gold Coast Titans on Saturday.
With the draw the Sharks remained in fourth position and kept their noses in front of the chasing pack, with the Gold Coast a point behind and one of five teams breathing down their neck and keen to leap frog the young Cronulla side with a win this weekend.
In a couple of changes to the Sharks side centre Jesse Ramien returns after three games in the Intrust Super Premiership with the Newtown Jets, while regular front rower Daniel Vasquez is missing due to injury.
Ryan King, the scorer of two tries against Penrith after entering the game from the interchange bench, replaces Vasquez in the Sharks starting side.
The NYC match between the Sharks and Titans kicks off at the earlier time of 4.35pm due to the Women’s Series game being played prior to the NRL match.
