The Sharks took to Brookvale having made light work of the Dragons the week prior, but were met by a stern Manly side that proved a tough team to shake on the night.
A wave of early possession had the Sharks in good stead, however a resilient Manly outfit hung tough to remain in the match heading into the sheds.
Consecutive second-half tries to the hosts had them in the box seat heading into the final quarter, and the Sea Eagles proved a touch too good on the night, running out eventual 22 points to 12 victors.
