#RoosKiwis

Paul Gallen’s Kangaroos took on Gerard Beale’s Kiwis on Friday night at the Hunter Stadium in Newcastle, with the Australians running out eventual 16 points to nil victors.

In a game which never found its rhythm in full, the Kangaroos found their way across the stripe for three tries, courtesy of Darius Boyd, Greg Inglis and Blake Ferguson.

Perhaps the tale of the night was that of the Kiwi’s scramble defence, which turned the hosts away on countless occasions throughout the 80 minutes.

Gallen’s work rate across the match was something to behold, running for in excess of 200 metres and backing that up with more than 30 tackles in his time without the ball.

Gallen claimed the Man of the Match honours, while Beale looked dangerous at every opportunity despite finishing in a losing side.
