Penrith Panthers skipper Matt Moylan said he is looking forward to the personal challenge he’ll face when he goes up against in-form Sharks fullback Ben Barba in tomorrow’s ANZAC Round match.
Speaking this week, Moylan said that Barba is finding the form which won him the Dally M Medal in 2012 and that is good for the game.
“I think he’s definitely finding the form that he was in a few years ago which is good to see as a Rugby League and it’s going to be a good challenge for me personally coming up against him," said Moylan.
Moylan went on to highlight the challenge his team as a whole face in shutting down the dynamic fullback.
“I think Benny Barba’s been playing unreal of late so we’re going to have to go out there and do a good job on their forward pack and try and limited the impact he can get off the back of them."
Moylan, who has played three games for the Panthers in 2016 since returning from a stress fracture in his back, believes the Sharks will be in spirits following their Round 7 victory over the Canberra Raiders and will pose a tough assignment for his team.
“They’re playing well.
“They’re coming off the back of another good win on the weekend too so they’re going to be confident and a few of their players are really finding their feet."
