Despite a handful of errors which allowed their opponents to work their way back in the contest the Sharks have escaped with a 23-12 win over the Gold Coast Titans in their opening game of the NRL Auckland Nines.
The Sharks took an early lead, before the Titans levelled, with two late tries then sealing a win for the Cronulla side.
