Travel and a junior league meet and greet yesterday, then a Captain’s media call, a final training session and a Fan Engagement event in downtown Auckland has ramped up the excitement and expectation ahead of the NRL Nines which is set to kick off  at 3.05pm (NZ time) on Saturday.

Sharks Co-Captain Chris Heighington attended the media call in the morning, before racing off to training where he joined in on an energetic final session, one where the team showed great signs ahead of the tournament getting underway tomorrow.

Following training Heighington then got together with the rest of the Sharks squad and interacted with the fans before heading back to the team hotel to rest up and recuperate before his teams’ first game against the Titans.

Before putting his feet up for the afternoon Heighington had a quick chat to Sharks TV.

See what the Sharks Nines skipper had to say, now playing on Sharks TV.
