Heading into round 18 the season is now getting towards the pointy end with the last of the bye rounds this weekend and the worst behind us in terms of teams not playing and players not available for our NRL Fantasy squads.
Origin has also come to an end and most of the NSW and Queensland players have been named to back up this weekend. Hopefully everybody came out of the big game injury free and ready to go.
Ins
Jarred Mullen and Tyrone Roberts return for the Knights, with Josh Jackson coming back from suspension and completing his Origin commitments to be available for the Bulldogs. Daniel Vidot and Jack Reed return for the Broncos, while Paul Gallen and Michael Ennis have both been named for the Sharks.
Outs
Yaw Kiti Glymin suffered a hamstring injury on his debut last week for the Dragons and Joey Leilua is unable to play for the Raiders due to a stipulation in his contract which doesn’t allow him to play against his old team the Knights during the 2015 season. Justin Hodges hasn't been named for the Broncos and is expected to be rested after what was his final Origin match last night.
Buy
Will Chambers (Storm) at this stage of the season could be a nice point of difference, Dallin Watene-Zelezniac (Panthers) is reasonable price and has a good points average and it’s probably time to bring Cameron Smith (Storm) into your team if he's not already in it. James Tedesco (Tigers) is another to look at if you’re going to bring him you should consider doing it either this week or next week.
Hold
Johnathan Thurston (Cowboys) may have the bye this week but he has never been someone to consider selling while you need to keep Semi Radradra (Eels) until the end. I don’t need to day anymore about Semi, he has been outstanding. Gallen (Sharks) hopefully comes out of Origin injury free and will be ready to fire for the Sharks over the final weeks of the season.
Sell
Maybe you bought Kiti Glymin (Dragons) last week on his debut, only for him to unfortunately do a hamstring. I doubt he will play again this year so cut your losses and sell, while Josh Mansour’s (Panthers) injury woes continue. Mansour was a late withdrawal last weekend and injury has forced him out again for up to four more weeks so at this stage of the game I won't be keeping him.
Good luck Fantasy coaches and remember to trade wisely.
