The Sharks under 20 Holden Cup side join their NRL counterparts in playing a trial match against Manly at Pittwater Park on Saturday.
The NYC squad features a number of returning players and a good mix of local juniors and new recruits, with the James Shepherd coach side confident of a strong showing in 2015.
But first things first and the young Sharks tackle the Sea Eagles on Saturday as they try to impress the coaching staff in the pre-season matches in a bid to claim places in the NYC side come round one on March 8.
Missing are NRL squad members Valentine Holmes and Jack Bird, with that pair NYC eligible in 2015, as well as Anthony Moraitis and Jaden Clarke who have been called up into the NRL trial this weekend.
Kick off time for the NYC trial, which will be played at Pittwater Park in Narrabeen, will be 3.30pm.
